This domain focuses on the impact of healthcare information technologies on privacy and security. It also includes data life cycle management as well as third-party connectivity. Moreover, participate in risk assessment consistent with role in organization and risk response and utilize controls to remediate risk. 

Domain 7: Third-Party Risk Management

This domain focuses on identifying suitable third-party based information use and managing relationships with third parties in healthcare context. You will learn how to determine when the requirement of additional security and privacy assurances are essential. In addition, application of management standards and practices, third-party assessments and audits and participation in third-party remediation efforts and responding to notifications of security/privacy events. 

How Do I Get My (ISC)² HCISPP Certification?

To qualify for the HCISPP, candidates must pass the exam and have a minimum of 2 years cumulative paid full-time work experience in one or more of the seven domains of the (ISC)² HCISPP CBK® that includes security, compliance and privacy.

Can I Attend If I’m Just A Beginner And Don’t Have Masters Degree Or Any Experience?

Candidates must have a minimum of two years cumulative paid work experience in one or more knowledge areas of the HCISPP CBK that includes security, compliance and privacy. Legal experience may be substituted for compliance and information management experience may be substituted for privacy. Of the two years of experience, one of those years must be in the healthcare industry. A candidate who doesn’t have the required experience to become a HCISPP may become an Associate of (ISC)² by successfully passing the HCISPP examination.  The Associate of (ISC)² will then have three years to earn the two years required experience.
